At last night's Building Committee site visit, the stockpiles of material are enormous, nearly hiding the school.  Fourteen days in and the parking lot has taken shape, the new bus loop is being cut in and the first of two underground stormwater detention systems has begun.

At last nights Inland Wetlands and Watercourses, LLA along with BVH (civil) presented the plans for site improvements at the school site.  The plan was well received and the drainage report showed how we actually decreased volumes and peak flow while we increased impervious areas by 14 percent.  After answering all their questions, the Commission voted unanimous approval with no conditions.

Next up is Planning & Zoning with a public hearing scheduled for May 10th.  Then immediately out to bid for summer construction.

Pond House at Elizabeth Park

We appeared before the Executive Committee of the Elizabeth Park Conservancy in March to present plans for an outdoor entertainment area adjacent to the new terrace installed in 2014 overlooking the pond.  Overall, the concept was well received.  We discussed several items in detail, including the need for a storage building for the outdoor game pieces and the pros and cons of synthetic turf vs. natural turf.
